Chapter 1: Healed diaries (Day 1 → Week 4 | Normal vs Issues)
I. Healing Process
Healing after nano brows happens in phases. Understanding each stage allows artists to educate clients properly and set realistic expectations.
Day 1 – Immediate Post-Procedure
-
Brows appear darker, bolder, and sharper than the final healed result.
-
Mild redness and slight swelling are normal.
-
Strokes look very crisp.
-
This is not the final colour.
Day 2-5 – Oxidation & Settling
-
Fresh pigment mixes with lymph fluid beneath inflamed skin.
-
Light reflection changes, making brows appear darker or warmer.
-
Skin may feel tight.
-
This is a temporary phase.
Day 6-8 – Light Flaking
-
Light flaking or micro-scabbing may occur.
-
Heavy scabbing should not happen if performed correctly.
-
Brows may look patchy.
-
Colour may appear to “disappear.”
Important:
1. The pigment is NOT gone. It is covered by healing skin.
2. This phase causes the most client anxiety, so pre-consultation education is essential.
Week 2 – Ghosting Phase
-
The epidermis regenerates.
-
A new layer of skin forms over the pigment.
-
This new skin layer is thicker and less transparent.
-
Strokes may look faded or absent.
This is temporary.
Weeks 3-4 – Colour Returns & Stabilises
-
Colour gradually returns.
-
True pigment retention becomes visible.
-
Final assessment should only be done after full healing.
